Installing Skills & Presets

You don’t have to start from scratch. The Marketplace has powerful packages built by other users and the UpServe team.

Installing a skill

  1. Open Marketplace 
  2. Click the skill card you want
  3. Click Import

Clicking import adds the skill to your library as a reference to the original. At first it points to the source skill directly; the moment you edit it through chat, it automatically branches into your own personal copy. The version you imported stays pinned — updates the original author publishes afterward will not affect you.

To uninstall, click Remove on the same screen. If you have not edited the skill yet, only the reference link is removed. If your copy has already branched, that copy is deleted along with it. If the original author removes the skill entirely, your copy is automatically converted to a standalone personal copy so you can keep using it.

Right after importing, a panel appears so you can immediately apply the skill to your agents. Skills that require an external service (e.g. Notion, Slack) need a connection configured before they can run.

Installing an agent preset

  1. Open Agent Marketplace 
  2. Click the preset you want
  3. Click Use

Customizable presets run a short interview chat before the agent is created. Answer a few questions and the agent will automatically shape its behavior and initial knowledge around your answers. Once the synthesis finishes, you may see a recommended skill bundle — pick the skills you want included. Closing the window at any point cancels the interview and no agent is created.

Presets without customization create the agent immediately after confirmation.

Behavior instructions, tools, and skills are all set automatically. Tweak the name and avatar afterwards in agent settings.

FRONTIER-tier presets require a Pro plan. If you have reached your plan’s agent limit, the install will be rejected.

Installing a team preset

  1. Open Team Marketplace 
  2. Click the team card → review which roles are included
  3. Click Use (on a team preset you authored, the button reads Reinstall instead)

The whole team is created at once, preserving the agent connection structure. Team presets that include FRONTIER-tier members require a Pro plan.

Picking trustworthy packages

When choosing a package in the Marketplace, look for:

  • 🏷️ Official badge — Built and curated by the UpServe team
  • 📥 Install count — Heavily-installed packages are usually proven
  • 👍 Likes & comments — Reactions and notes from other users
  • 🔢 Version — A higher version often means active maintenance (sort the list by ‘Most Recent’)
