Scheduled runs

A scheduled run is a job your assigned AI starts on its own at a set time, like a morning report every day. On the work screen it appears as the Scheduled runs card.

Turning it on and off

  • When you add ready-made work to My work, its scheduled runs come in turned off. You can turn one on right after adding, or later from the Scheduled runs card on the work screen.
  • Each row has its own switch, so you turn them on and off one at a time.
  • Once on, each run uses SU for what it uses. Off means no SU is used.
  • Turning one off stops only future starts. Tasks already started and work you hand over in chat are not affected.
  • Under each row you see the next start: “Next start: today 7:00”, “Next start: tomorrow 7:00”, or a date. If it’s off, it says “Off”.

The Scheduled column on the task board only shows the next start of runs that are on. It’s read-only. Tasks created by a scheduled run carry Run #N.

Changing the time

The work screen has two different lists.

  • The “Scheduled runs” card: the scheduled runs that ready-made work defines. This card has no field for editing times. You change a time by telling your assigned AI in the chat. When a time you changed in chat is in effect, the row shows Adjusted, and the “Next start” line shows the actual time. Going back to the default time removes the label. If the changed time can’t be used right now, the row says “Your changed time can’t be used right now, so it starts at the default time. Your time is kept.”
  • The “Previously scheduled runs” list: schedules that were already set on this team. It shows only when there are some. A row that is on has Stop, and a row that is off and can be turned back on has Turn back on, and schedules paused when you connected a work screen show “Paused when connected”. A schedule that runs once a day also has a time field and a Change time button.

In both lists, times appear in your device’s time zone.

When the time zone differs

A once-a-day schedule in “Previously scheduled runs” runs on a set time zone. If that zone differs from your device’s, the row shows “Runs on (time zone)”. Only when you save with Change time are you asked whether the schedule should follow your device’s time zone or keep its current one. Closing that question without answering changes nothing. If the zones are the same, you see neither the label nor the question.

When work is paused

When you pause work, scheduled runs are skipped until you resume. Work already in progress finishes.

The limit on newly created AI teams

An AI team created from your own request can’t take recurring scheduled runs until it is specialized. If you ask for something at a set time or on a repeating basis, your assigned AI doesn’t create it and tells you why. The message depends on the stage.

Team stageMessage
Learning your workYou can add them once the custom setup has been applied
Checking the custom setupYou can add them once the custom setup has been applied after verification
Needs your OKChoose whether to apply it at the top of the team screen. Once applied, you can add them

Each message also says “A one-time run can still be scheduled now.” One-time runs are not blocked.

A team where you set the frequency to Whenever new data arrives is separate. It doesn’t check for new material on a recurring schedule even after it is specialized, so that watching for new data isn’t imitated with a recurring schedule. It says “To watch for new material, ask the team’s AI in this team’s chat.”

Ready-made work doesn’t have this limit, and the limit doesn’t stop scheduled runs that already exist. The stages are described in Your AI team.

Advanced

You don’t need this section for everyday use. Read it only if you want to know how times are decided.

  • A scheduled run comes from the list of times defined for the work, with your chat changes laid over it. The server picks the value that can be used now and works out the next start.
  • The stage-based limit applies only while the team’s stage is “Learning your work”, “Checking the custom setup” or “Needs your OK”. A team that is “Keeping current setup”, and a team with a custom setup already applied, is not affected. A team with a custom setup applied isn’t blocked even while it verifies the next setup or waits for your OK.
  • The server decides, so the same message appears however you ask your assigned AI.
  • The “Whenever new data arrives” limit does not depend on the stage.
